Rachel Wows at Muni Shows

Rachel absolutely owned her three performances as the featured vocalist with the Decatur Municipal Band!

Atop the Muni’s outstanding orchestral music directed by Jim Culbertson, Rachel performed a total of four medleys: songs from Broadway shows Chicago, Oliver, and Gypsy, as well as Disney’s contemporary animated classic Frozen. Each was a showcase for Rachel’s dynamic vocals, and audiences were visibly entranced by her talent.

In one particular introduction of Rachel, MC Shirley Kistler asked the crowd, “Did you see [the 2014 Theatre 7 production of] Spamalot? Remember the Lady of the Lake?” After a nice wave of applause she added, “We got her.”

Chatter overheard after the shows easily pegged Rachel’s take on Chicago’s “All That Jazz” as the standout fave.

Rachel is of course working with The Kablooey Group on our original Holiday-themed musical-comedy theatrical experience, so plan to see and hear much more of her later this year!
